What happens next?

We get a great deal of pleasure from playing our part in seeing peoples dreams and aspirations become reality so I thought I'd share a couple of dreams that we have seen reach fruition.

Sandy and Lizzie are living the true 'Sell up and sail' dream. They sold their house, lock, stock and barrel and moved aboard steel hulled motor sailer, Fijamor. They're now to be found sailing the south coast making final preparations before heading to the med and beyond. We have a particularly soft spot for Fijamor, well, because she is a beautiful boat, but also because she was our first sale and it seems appropriate that she's marked out by unusual new owners. What Sandy and Lizzie have done is really quite inspiring. Not for the faint hearted I imagine, but to cut ties with convention and find a new path which leaves you happy, healthy and seeing new places whenever you choose, is to be hugely admired & the happiness they've achieved by following their dream is richly deserved.

Another boat which sticks in my mind is Spindrift, a beautiful colvic beta trawler yacht, bought by Pam and Kevin Simmister of Portree. This lovely yacht is now coded for boat trips short or long off the gorgeous Isle of Skye. Whether you want to watch wildlife, sunsets, or do a bit of walking in more remote locations that can normally be reached, then Kevin, Pam and Spindrift will deliver. www.spindriftboattrips.co.uk

Sandy & Lizzy are very good friends of mine, and I admire them tremendously for what they have done. They have followed their dream, and long may their sailing continue with fair winds and calm seas. I only wish I had the courage to do the same.
