Master Marine Eygthene - Boat Details

The Eygthene 24 is the design that launched the career of Ron Holland. First conceived when he was working in the engineering dept of Morgan yachts in Florida.

The prototype Eygthene 24 won the 1973 quarter ton championship in Weymouth on her first outing.

This version was built in 1981 by Master marine in Guernsey.
The deep fin keel and ballast/displacement ratio of over 52% make her very stable and able to carry more sail.

In a second hand boat test written about in the March 2003 edition of Yachting Monthly she was said to be
"A delight to sail, very light on the helm and with razor sharp pointing ability"

The engine has been removed for servicing and is currently ashore, interested parties will need to take this into account when making enquiries.
